Alarming rate of looked after children ending up in prison needs urgent reform

In_Care_Out_of_Trouble_-_Prison_Reform_Trust_2016With black and mixed race children accounting for 16% of those in the care system, even though they make up just 5% of the UK's child population, a new review showing that up to half of children that end up in children's prison have been care is of significant importance for black Briton. Chaired by Lord Lamming this review from the Prison Reform Trust calls for top level commitment to address what many across the community have condemned as an injustice.
