Mental health service users account for 60% of deaths in state custody

A report by the Ministerial Independent Advisory Panel on Death in Custody shows that those detained under the Mental Health Act account for 60% of all deaths in state custody, and people from the UK's African Caribbean communities continue to be over represented in these figures.
